1967 Austin Healy Sprite MK III Roadster. Built as a British sports car, initially a collaboration between the British Motor Company and the Donald Health Motor Company. The Austin Healy was produced from 1959-1967 starting life as an open sports car and later a convertible. By 1968 the Austin Healy name plate was gone with merging with MGB. This 1967 Austin Healy Sprite is painted in bright red.
The Austin Healey Sprite was the world’s first mass-produced monocoque sports car (although it was not technically a ‘full’ monocoque because of the front chassis legs projecting forward from the passenger compartment).
